In the early 1980s, Steve pioneered our turnkey concept after assessing fibre cable installation needs throughout the industry and anticipating government deregulation to create competitive markets. Steve's career includes senior consulting experience at every level of the industry. He has been retained by B.C. Telephone Company (now TELUS), MetroNet Communications Group Inc., Ledcor Industries Limited, MFS Network Technologies, Starcom International Optics Corporation, Shaw Cable, B.C. Rail, Rogers Cable TV Ltd., and Bell Canada International Inc. (United States). A key member of numerous communications and cable placing projects since 1976, Brian has been responsible for installing approximately one million metres of plowed utilities, and for building and implementing most of our proprietary equipment. Keith Semenoff joined Dixon in 1997 and has served in project management, co-ordination and senior management capacities for high profile clients and projects throughout Canada and the United States. He has designed complex estimating documents, standard terms and conditions along with comprehensive specifications which benefitted many of the projects he managed. Keith has extensive expertise in all types of outside plant work, including conduit installation, cable placement, directional drilling, bridge attachments and fibre splicing. Over his 14 years at Dixon, Keith has held positions of increasing responsibilities, which provides a foundation to his current position as Vice President, Construction. His beliefs are to maximize Dixon’s relationship with customers and suppliers by providing leading grade professionalism, refining techniques, capitalize on the knowledge and abilities of our team, and utilize technologies to become an industry leader in quality installations. Keith believes that by developing positive client relationships and taking a creative approach to construction issues, this strategy sets Dixon apart in the industry. He manages operations and oversees the construction team, and plays a key role in the development of each project team working with the Project Managers to ensure target dates are met, and that quality, environmental, and safety standards are maintained. Paul Ingram brings to the Dixon team a highly technical background in telecommunications engineering design. He was a former Strategic Rights-of-Way Manager at TELUS Corporation, and joined Dixon Networks Corporation in June 2006. Read more... He was a former Strategic Rights-of-Way Manager at TELUS Corporation, and joined Dixon Networks Corporation in June 2006. During his tenure with TELUS (BC TEL), Paul held various technical and management positions for over 30 years, which included being the technical expert for Stentor (National Association of Canadian Telcos) in national support structure negotiations with the CCTA and CTA, and a member of the Technical Committee for CSA Standard T530. He has negotiated master and protocol support structure agreements, created/directed OSP engineering and construction operational reviews, and responsible for completing working agreements with cities, railways, and electrical distribution companies. Since leaving TELUS, Paul has worked with US West (CenturyLink) in Seattle, WA designing and upgrading their networks, BC Gas (Fortis BC) in updating their high pressure pipeline technical control standards, and Ameritech (AT&T) in Chicago, IL revamping their network infrastructure. He worked as an OSP Design Engineering Manager, and played a key role in the successful completion of the Alberta SuperNet project shortly after he joined the Dixon’s management team. His emphasis has been on deployment of wireline and wireless networks with TELUS, Rogers, Bell, Allstream, Shaw, Ontera, and a diverse number of municipalities, cities, and universities throughout Canada. Service with integrity, quality, and on-time delivery are his priorities. Dan Pearson has been a highly valued member of the Dixon team for over 12 years. Dixon’s operational success has benefitted from his project management skills in field operations. He is a key member of Dixon’s management team and continually exercises his organizational skills to bring work plans to a successful conclusion. A strong proponent of the Dixon “quality first” philosophy, Dan has implemented a number of innovative field techniques. He successfully developed and implemented project plans for a variety of large and complex construction projects in western Canada and the US Northwest. Dan has a strong background in managing multiple projects and team components to achieve a successful conclusion for both the client and team members, and provides effective, insightful leadership to field operations with particular emphasis on safety and quality, while continually exploring efficiencies to pass on to our clientele. These customer-building competencies have resulted in the acquisition and retention of a number of long-term clients in Western Canada. Dave ThompsonManager, Special ProjectsDave's career includes serving in a supervisory capacity for several large construction companies, including Whimpy (United Kingdom) and PCL (Canada). A member of the Dixon Networks team since 1983, he has been project superintendent on a large number of fibre cable projects, encompassing underground, aerial and bridge construction. Dave pioneered application of the company's many specialized construction techniques for fibre cable installations and bridge and trestle crossings. In 1997, he supervised our special cable team in Alaska that set a world record for installing the longest, continuous segment of fibre optic cable, using Arnco blowing equipment. Dave has an outstanding reputation throughout the industry. City and Municipal Authorities often request him by name to head construction projects within their jurisdictions. |
